Sister's
Wedding
It was at your sister's wedding
Your brother in law was sweating
And he had to be excused for lack of oxygen
And just what were we thinking
Our minds were on the blink then
Distracted by the words we needed to believe
As their jaws were dropping
Your father called the cops in
And the situation rapidly deteriorated from there
And have you been to see him
The ashes, the mausoleum
Buried on a hill somewhere around here
I know your brother goes there
And stands among the rows there
And drinks one down
And pours the other one on the ground
It was at your sister's wedding
When we came under the influence
Of powers bigger than love
