Greetings Pop Enthusiasts: We're playing Saturday, Oct 8 at The Candy Bar Bistro (2066 Kingsway, 604-877-1066, Kingsway and Victoria) at 10:45pm with Mr. Plow and company. Conrad news: We have a new drummer - Marc L'Esperance! He's also a producer and has done projects for Bughouse 5, Coal and Ray Condo. This is his first gig with us. The new CD, 'Never Would Have Guessed We Were All Blessed' is virtually done. It's just finishing up mastering at Capitol, LA. As it turns out, Mark Chalecki, the Velveteens old keyboard player is a mastering engineer at Capitol and has graciously agreed to do the project for us. Record release likely November-ish at the Railway hopefully. Keep your calendars open. There's an animated video in the works for this release. Believe it. Many of you are thanked by name in the new release, hope that's ok. Hope to see some of you there. Thanks for all the support. Larry |

Conrad turns on the craggy charm and cranks out tunes from critically acclaimed 2002 CD and forthcoming disc. Atmospheric jangle pop at its best.
Mike Clark Former tour manager of the band Tegan and Sara, Mike Clark hails from the backwoods of Red Deer Alberta. His music has been described as evoking both Wilco and Elliot Smith. According to Eye Magazine's John Sakamoto "...it's the combination of acoustic pop and noise from the former (Wilco) and the sardonic yet pleading worldwide view of the latter (E. Smith). |
